The volunteers spent the morning planting vegitation, cutting down trees and clearing debris to create more garden areas.


Sergeant Santiago Kaites, platoon sergeant, Storage, Supply Company, Combat Service Support Group-3 points out to Lance Cpl. Andrea Vela, warehouseman, Storage, Supply Company, CSSG-3, the correct way to plant Polynesian Taro. Kaites and Vela spent the morning digging holes deep enough to plant the taro plants. Marines from Combat Service Support Group-3, Marine Forces Pacific, Veterans of Foriegn Wars post 1572, wives and girlfriends gather together to beautify the Waipahu Cultural Center Aug. 6.
